OPPFOR Delta Force Brazil =DFBR=
Mission SEEK AND DESTROY ENEMY FORCES
Insertion/Extraction HALO Airborne assault, helicopter extraction.
Executed/managed by: Night Stalkers Squadron, 160th SOAR
Background The Government of Brazil has asked the U.S. State Department to intervene in an internal Brazilian political matter in order to influence world opinion in an effort to stabilize the Western Hemisphere's economy and politics. The situation requires that an International Military force be secretly inserted into the country to engage and destroy Brazilian Rebel Military faction. State agrees that this action is in the best interest of the western hemisphere's political and economic interests. The OPPFOR, DELTA FORCE BRAZIL, the elite and now rebel faction of the Brazilian Military, has organized to topple the legitimate Brazilian government and replace it with a military dictatorship. The State Department, in concert with the government of Brazil an other western hemisphere nations have determined =1FS= as the only covert friendly force with the background and expertise to deal with this destabilizing threat…
Objective Engage and eliminate the enemy force at the bases where the rebels train and operate. By destroying Delta Force Brasil before they can launch their coup, the legitimate government of Brazil, the economic stability of the region, and world opinion will remain status quo.
Intelligence Reports CIA reports that Delta Force Brazil is comprised of Spec Ops trained operators that believe their coup will be the salvation of their country. They will fight to the last man. They are reputed to be without mercy or morals in achieving their goals. Several have actual combat experience in Colombia.

After Action Report Mission accomplished. Delta Force Brazil *DFBR* Neutralized.

The Mission was immediately compromised by severe weather (LAG). After a brief firefight under terrible "wind conditions", both sides quickly withdrew to wait out the storm. After the "weather" cleared the battle resumed in earnest. =1FS= took adecisive lead immediately, and the =DFBR= force showed a reluctance to fight from that point on. A badly out-gunned and disorganized =DFBR= force was quickly routed by a superior =1FS= force that out maneuvered the opposition, cutting them to pieces at their own base of operations. The battle went so badly for the  opposition that several of their troops deserted their comrades and ran deep into the Amazon rain forests. =1FS= was able to reduce its number of operative troops on the ground during the engagement as a result. The enemy was neutralized by a better trained and prepared =1FS=.

No casualties. No Wounded In Action.

Note: Brazilian liaison to CIA has collected Intel stating that the fleeing =DFBR= deserters encountered a war-party representing a tribe of local Amazon Indians; a tribe well known as cannibals. The hapless =DFBR= deserters were captured, and were then eaten. The tribe made the shrunken heads of the deserters available as souvenirs to =1FS=. Command Staff politely declined their kind offer.
