Mission DESTROY TERRORIST THREAT, ENSURING THE SAFE RESCUE OF THE HOSTAGES

Background The race for the Yugoslav presidency has devolved into a tactical war of attrition, with opposition leaders appealing for a "campaign of civil disobedience" aimed at forcing President Slobodan Milosevic to accept an apparent defeat in the September 24 ballot. Pressure on Slobodan Milosevic is mounting after students in Serbia walked out of schools, firms closed and roads were blocked by protesters demanding the president concede electiondefeat. Despite the regional and International communities calls to step down, Slobodan Milosevic still seems to believe that he is rightfully the President of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY). NATO intelligence has reported that a Milosevic loyalist group of military personal situated in Ljig 50km outside of Belgrade along the Danube has employed the services of a notorious cult mercenary group known as Trojan War Horse (TWH). These mercs have taken hostage Vojislav Kostunica the leader of the Democratic Party of Serbia and a number of his advisors and staff. Kostunica is the joint presidential candidate of a 15 party democratic bloc challenging Milosevic and although not a major threat has certainly been instrumental in creating the public upheaval at Milosevic’s refusal to step down from power.
Objective 1st Firewalker Squad’s orders are clear, destroy this threat to the regional security of Yugoslavia by any means available, and safely rescue of the hostages.
Intelligence Reports Intel has reported the strength of the hostile forces encamped in Ljig to be that of a division with minimal heavy support available. These crazed fanatics represent a major hostile threat that must be eliminated. Their loyalty to their employers is undying and they are willing to fight to the last man.

After Action Report Mission accomplished. «TWH» neutralized.

The mission from early on went =1FS= way for early on we were able to outmaneuver and gain early control of strategic positions at TWH’s flanks. With their flanks exposed to the combined might of the whole =1FS= strike team TWH were surrounded and gunned down inside their own base of operations. Despite suffering extreme losses the TWH mercenary group refused to give up and fought with honor in the desperate close proximity fighting that took place in this war ravaged area of the Balkans. After mopping up the last of the stubborn TWH resistance =1FS= moved in securing the release of all of the hostages and earning the thanks of those fighting the tyrannical government of Slobodan Milosevic.
