| One of our steadiest European brothers in arms, Mean Hands immediately
began to contribute to the squad in many different ways. Mean Hands quickly
proved to be a talented individual and a great teammate. He displayed both
formal and informal leadership attributes and was always unselfish in his
commitments to make =1FS= Alpha Team as well as the entire organization
a force to be reckoned with. While Mean Hands always preferred an individual
contributor's role; whenever the squad command called on him to lead, he
snapped to attention, saluted and did the job... very well! He worked tirelessly
to build gaming maps, create graphical tactical renditions of the maps
in order to give the squad a tactical edge.
"Mean" was a bro you could count on to be there... in the game, hosting
games, assuring that =1FS= Euro presence was projected and whenever we
needed admin projects executed. Mean Hands added great value to the =1FS=
experience. When the squad began to move to DFLW, Mean was one of the first
to arrive. He gently prodded us all to make the move to the new game. Mean
Hands was responsible for a big part of what the =1FS= mystique ultimately
became. His ample cache of combat and collateral ribbons decorating his
Class "A" uniform blouse attests to his many achievements as a Firewalker.
Mean's on-the-field play, lethal marksmanship, communication of germane
information, tactical mind, his work and his comradeship will all be missed...
and never forgotten.
