Decorations - Rewards and Recognition
To add value to the =1FS= team and Delta Force gaming experience =1FS=
has established an award/ decoration system based on United States Army
decorations. The schema takes into account Unit Service, Combat Performance
Awards for outstanding gameplay, Collateral Duties Performance Awards for
activities and contributions supporting the =1FS= and Delta Force experience,
and Campaign Ribbons as awards for participation in game campaigns created
to make gameplay for the team more rewarding.
Out of respect for those who have served and paid the ultimate price
for the service to their country, certain medals are not available to =1FS=
operatives. Additionally 3 medals are not available because of their context.
Decoration Types and Award Criteria
Unit Service
Based on squad and unit service.
Combat Performance Awards
Decorations earned due to recognized outstanding performance during
inter-squad matches. Typically awarded to =1FS= operatives making the greatest
contributions during a match. E.g. MVP (Most Valuable Player) Co- MVP’s,
operatives that sacrifice for the team win, etc. Both objective and subjective
decisioning by the squad command occurs in conferring these decorations
on deserving =1FS= operatives. Any participating operative can make nominations.
Collateral Contributions Awards
Decorations earned due to recognized outstanding performance for activities
and contributions supporting the =1FS= and Delta Force experience. Typically
delivered as a result of other-than-gameplay contributions, e.g. excellent
staff work, website design & maintenance, website content enhancement,
recruiting, team training, participation in team practices, message boards,
etc. Any value-added contributions are eligible. Both objective and subjective
decisioning by the squad command occurs in conferring these decorations
on deserving =1FS= operatives. Any active operative can make nominations.
Combat Participation (Campaign Awards)
Campaign awards are awarded to those =1FS= operatives selected to participate
in inter-squad matches. Fictionalized story lines for campaigns will be
created to make gameplay for the team a more rewarding experience and to
make the campaign award more meaningful. Being selected to represent the
team in an inter-squad battle earns these awards.
Squad command reserves the right to make any award criteria changes
for future use.
